BTC scholarships and traineeships

Who can apply for a grant?

Only citizens of one of the 18 partner countries of the Belgian Development Cooperation are entitled to a grant.

These countries are: Algeria, Benin, Bolivia, Burundi, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Ecuador, Mali, Morocco, Mozambique, Niger, the Palestinian Territory, Peru, Rwanda, Senegal, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda and Vietnam.

Citizens of other countries are not entitled to a governmental cooperation grant. Governmental cooperation does not finance grants that aim to empower universities (scientific research). For university cooperation grants, we refer to the Conseil interuniversitaire de la Communauté française (CIUF) (www.cud.be) and the Flemish Interuniversity Council (VLIR-UOS) (www.vliruos.be).
